Jin was born and educated in Seoul, Korea. She Graduated from Sejong University, Seoul, majoring in Fine Art. And has studied at The University of America she is a Member of KAMAN and ICCA. As part of her travels she has come to Australia to experience the landscape which is vast and so different from her home land of Korea.
Jin enjoys travel and as such has had a number of group exhibitions in Korea and internationally in France, Russia, America, Beijing, & Uzbekistan. Previous exhibitions have featured her delicate and detailed watercolour works on paper, featuring riverscapes, landscapes and still life.
This exhibition features some of her watercolours. However the predominant body of work has produced a collection in series of roadside mail boxes. This study is of a uniquely Australian subject, that takes on a life of its own. That which is part of the routine life of many rural Australians is the object of focus that will engage the viewer. “Great Art cannot be made by genius but an endless patience”
