Originally from Victoria, Sandra now lives in Canberra and has been painting in oils for over 40 years. She studied under well-known Melbourne artists Max Casey and Colin Johnson. She has won countless awards for her works, both large and small throughout Victoria, the ACT and NSW. She is widely collected and well-loved in Canberra for her charming locally painted scenes: snatches of rural landscape, farmhouses, forest scenes and seascapes from the South coast – populated by cows, sheep and occasionally a grandchild or two. Her paintings are usually small and modest with a soft impressionistic value, whilst her skilful and energetic brushstrokes impart a freshness and vitality to her scenes. They are truly an example of Australian landscape painting at it’s best and most honest.
