Astrid Bruning

Astrid has been painting for more than 30 years.

Originally self-taught in the style of super–realism her obsession with detail and vitality caused her to develop her skills further with both a BA in Visual Arts from Charles Sturt University and a Diploma from Albury TAFE. Where she received an “ Achievement of Excellence “ award. Here she experimented with a variety of contemporary visual languages but has returned to her first love of Realism.

Astrid is an extremely versatile artist with extremely high skill levels and a diverse range of subject matter and no matter the scale from miniature to over-sized canvases she handles each with the same level of enthusiasm and passion for her craft
