Kate Jenvey

Kate Jenvey is a realist oil painter and pencil artist using nature as her inspiration. Her artistic interest began early as she grew to love and admire the animals that were part of her childhood in East Africa. Her passion for Africa remains strong and influences much of her work today. After settling in Australia, Kate’s rural lifestyle involved horses and both subjects are now entwined within her colourful paintings and intricate pencil work.

Kate has demonstrated her work in an interview on the TV show ‘Colour in your life’ and had a feature article in The Australian Horseman Magazine titled “Capturing Wild Spirits”. Kate is the recipient of the Grand Teton Lodge Company Award, Arts for the Parks international juried art show and was juried into the prestigious Western Visions annual show held at the National Museum of Wildlife Art both in Jackson, Wyoming.

She has been Artist in Residence at the NMWA and has been part of many group shows and exhibitions gleaning numerous awards along the way. Kate has also had two solo shows. Her work is in many private homes and collections in Australia, United States and Canada. She is currently a member of The Society of Animal Artists, Artists for Conservation and The Pencil Art Society.
